Banffy Palace is a Baroque building dating back to the period between 17775-1775, and it was built by the architect Johann Eberhard Blumann. The castle is considered the best example of Baroque architecture in Transylvania in the eighteenth century. With its curved shapes and intricate use of columns and ornaments, the palace has been transformed from the inside into an art museum displaying many works of art from paintings belonging to the most famous Romanian and Hungarian artists.
