Bad Gastein Waterfall is one of the most famous waterfalls in Austria, with a fall height of about 340 meters, and thus is also one of the tallest waterfalls in the country. The stone waterfall bridge was built in 1840 and was last renovated in 2010. The waterfall offers its visitors an impressive natural scenery in the middle of a world-class spa, and the negatively ionized air through atomization is considered to be a particularly health-promoting factor. At the foot of the waterfall is the power station built in 1914, which was closed in 1996 and listed as a historical monument.
