Habib Bourguiba Street is named after the national leader of the Tunisian independence movement and the first Tunisian president. It is the historical, political and economic heart of Tunis. It is lined with lush trees and the fronts of shops, cafes and restaurants, similar to those located on the Champs Elysees in Paris, along with some Sights such as the French Embassy, the Tunis Municipal Theater and the Cathedral of Saint Vincent de Paul, as well as the clock tower that is lit at night and decorates the heart of the capital.
