It is a museum in Freiburg im Breisgau, Germany, located in the building of a former Augustinian monastery. It is undergoing extensive expansion and renovation, the first phase of which was completed in 2010. It is a collection of artworks from the medieval period to the Baroque period. Thanks to acclaimed architect Christoph Mäckler, the former abbey chapel has been converted into an impressive modern museum. The museum consists of three storage rooms for 90,000 drawings, prints and photographs, kept at an ideal temperature and humidity.
