The Atlas Van Stolk Museum houses a large collection of photographs, posters and drawings documenting the history of the Netherlands. The collection dates back to the nineteenth century when the timber merchant Abraham Van Stolk created an atlas that includes a collection of photographs, prints and posters that reflect Dutch history. His sons completed this collection after his death to That number reached about 250 thousand of pictures and prints and was later handed over to the Dutch government and turned into a picture museum.
