Information about Aswan Museum
The Aswan Museum is located in Elephantine, in the southeast side of Aswan. It is one of the oldest museums in Aswan and in Egypt in general. It dates back to 1912 AD, when it was established by the British Egyptologist Cecil Mallaby Firth. The museum includes artifacts from Nubia that were present during the construction of the Aswan Dam, such as pots, weapons, pottery and mummies.
