Asir National Park is the first of its kind in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with an area of about 1,600 square kilometers. It was opened during the last quarter of 1980. Today, it includes more than 300 species of birds. It also includes 67 camping sites and 45 picnic sites with parking facilities. Cars, toilets, a set of benches, concrete tables, nature paths, lookout points, play areas and hiking trails.
