One of the oldest Hindu temples in Chennai, it was built in the seventeenth century in the style of Dravidian architecture. The temple contains many shrines, most notably the Kapaliswar and Karpajambal temples. It is worth noting that the temple complex includes many halls in which various ceremonies are held in the city.
