The Art Gallery of South Australia was established in the 19th century, specifically in 1881, with the aim of displaying, promoting and preserving valuable Australian and Aboriginal art. It houses a large and diverse collection of more than 380,000 artworks from Australia, Europe, North America and Asia, and also houses the amazing Islamic Gallery.
