The Arches Fountain is a large water sculpture in the gardens of the Royal Opera House in Muscat. It consists of interlocking polished stainless steel columns connected to each other by flowing water emanating from their inner surfaces. The fountain is 12 meters high over an oval basin 60 meters wide. Water is pumped in programmed sequences from 77 pumps to create the effects that Giles Rayner drew on his first visit to Oman in 2014.
