Information about Archaeological Site Uthina
Euthena or Udna was an ancient Roman barbarian city, which became a Roman colony for the veterans of the "Legio XIII Gemina" during the reign of Emperor Augustus. These archaeological ruins occupy a circumference of about three miles in length and cover a mountainous plateau. There are also remains of a fortress, cisterns, an arch, a triumphal arch, a theater, an amphitheater, a cathedral with a circular crypt and a bridge, and there are many mosaics as well. The Euthina amphitheater is located in the north of the area and is half dug into the hill and only the top of the building with the arches is above the ground.
