When you visit Sintra you will see clear signs of Moroccan occupation and Christian colonization, but you rarely see signs of other civilizations that settled there as well. In the Archaeological Museum of São Miguel de Udrinhas, you can go back to the first century BC and visit the walls and visible compartments of Roman ruins, as well as the structure from the third and fourth centuries AD that is believed to have been a temple or mausoleum, and you will also find the Church of São Miguel and a medieval cemetery that was Used from the twelfth to the sixteenth centuries.
