The Aquincum Civil Amphitheater was built near the northern Budapest city wall in the mid-19th century. Its floor plan was designed in a semi-circular shape and accommodated 7,000 people, and its theater was surrounded by a stone wall about three meters high. With the names of the previous owners in some places on the stone blocks used as benches.
