Ao San is a rocky beach located on the southwest coast of Phuket Island, and is one of the island's best kept secrets. And snorkeling at this beach is perfect. It has enough trees lining its perimeter to provide shelter from the sun at all times of the day and it also has a large sandy area for sun lovers, too. This 200-meter-long beach is a regular visitor in high season, and as it houses a series of primitive bungalows and a restaurant, it feels like a small community at times.
