Established between 1858 and 1861, Antonio Borges Park is one of the main historical parks on the island of São Miguel, representing a heritage and historical value of great importance in the regional and national panorama. It became part of the municipality of Ponta Delgada in 1957, and since then it has become a recreational area and tourist attractions, with free entry for locals and tourists alike.
