Located in front of Eindhoven's main railway station, the famous Anton Phillips statue was created by Dutch painter and sculptor Oswald Wenckebach, who designed it in 1951, shortly before his death. The statue represents Anton Philips, the co-founder of Philips and one of the main contributors to its existence, and it was he who succeeded in promoting the company on an international level.
