One of the original homes in Ushuaia, Antigua Casa Beban served as a community center for the city. Built between 1911 and 1913, the house is said to have been designed by the Swiss catalogue. In the 1980s, the Beban family donated the house to the city. To avoid demolition, it was subsequently moved to its current location along the coast, which is now a cultural center housing art galleries.
