The Anjos Teixeira Museum is housed in a former watermill that was built in Sintra at the beginning of the 20th century to take advantage of the waters of the Porto River and is dedicated to the sculptures of two great Portuguese masters, father and son Artur Gaspar and Pedro Augusto dos Anjos Teixeira), whose works are influenced by nature, late realism and neorealism, and whose paintings and sculptures reflect themes of human and animal anatomy, work, freedom, professions, the status of women, and historical and religious figures.
