Anishkov Bridge is the oldest and most famous bridge across the Fontanka River in Saint Petersburg, Russia. It was originally built in 1716 by order of Peter the Great, and was rebuilt several times after that. It acquired its current shape in 1842. With its simple design replete with ornamentation as well as the famous sculptures of the four horses, the bridge was one of seven stone bridges with spiers over the Fontanca River in the late 18th century.
