The Ananuri Fortress Complex is a complex of castles located along the turquoise waters of the Aragvi River near the village of Ananuri in the Mtskheta-Mtiianti region at an altitude of 900 meters above sea level. During the eighteenth century, it was the starting point for many battles in which the Georgians won and lost, and today it houses a historic fortress dating back to the feudal era (16th-18th centuries), which is considered one of the most beautiful churches in all of Georgia.
