The Amphitrite Fountain is considered a cultural monument in Jehlava along with the nearby Neptune Fountain. The two fountains were built in 1797 and each bears statues of ancient gods in Greek mythology. The name Amphitrite goes back to the sea goddess, and the Neptune Fountain bears the statue of Poseidon, the god of water, and therefore the fountain is considered a landmark Historically important in the area because of its association with legends and the fact that it was built in an ancient period, and you can take your children to enjoy playing in the water while sitting near the fountain.
