The American Legation in Tangiers is the first American public property built outside the United States, and it was built with the aim of reviving the historical cultural and diplomatic relations between the United States and Morocco. During World War II as a center for American intelligence agencies, the building consists of four floors, and its rooms were turned into a museum chronicling Moroccan-American relations on multiple levels.
