Information about Alaska Native Heritage Center
Alaska has a rich heritage, being home to at least 11 indigenous cultures with their own languages, traditions, and stories, and the extensive cultural history of this region is fully displayed at the Alaska Indigenous Heritage Center. The center was founded in 1999 with the aim of creating a historical archive of some of the indigenous cultures remaining in the United States, and it has certainly succeeded, as more than 100,000 tourists visit each year to learn about the indigenous culture, its diversity and richness. Visitors will find among the exhibits statues, clothes, boats, and others.
