The Ala Bridge is a 19.65-meter-long monocular bridge, which is still in use, and began to be used in the 14th century. The bridge is an architectural marvel that includes a flood chamber on the east side of the bridge, and the main arch structure is crafted of great craftsmanship from solid travertine. Today, the bridge is one of the distinctive architectural masterpieces of the city of Mersin, as the architecture is evident in this wonderful design.
