Information about Ahu Akivi
This landmark is considered one of the most prominent archaeological sites on Easter Island in Chile. Ahu Akevi is a sacred place in Rapa Nui in the Valparaíso region of Chile, overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The site contains seven moai, all of equal shape and size, also known as a celestial observatory. Established around the sixteenth century. The landmark represents the first 8 inhabitants of the island, and they are the only statues facing the ocean meaning that it shows how they got to the island.
