The imposing Agolanti Castle was built in the first half of the 14th century. It twice hosted Queen Christina of Sweden on her pilgrimages from her residence in Rome, and its strategic location turned it into the headquarters of the Austrian army in the mid-18th century. Today, Agolanti is considered one of Riccione's historical attractions, with towers and strong defensive walls. It is surrounded by a picturesque garden and includes large rooms that serve as an open cultural space for various activities.
