On the western edge of Rhodes, on the top of the hill of Ayios Stefanos, is the Acropolis of Rhodes, which consists of a huge area with holy places, great temples, public buildings and underground places of worship dating back to the late Hellenistic and Hellenistic period (300-200 BC). The Acropolis of Rhodes is one of the most interesting archaeological sites on the island of Rhodes, located close to the city and surrounded by wonderful landscapes all around, it is a favorite jogging and walking place for locals.
