Cliff of the Dead is a cliff dating back to the 20th century located on the top of one of the Balaclava Mountains. This cliff is of historical importance as the area was used by Russian forces first and then German forces as an ambush and observation point. It is also said that a major battle took place in the area with the Nazis during World War II, and the area took the name "The Cliff of Death" on the basis of a fictional story that says that the Nazis will take a group of prisoners to the area and throw them from the top of the cliff.
