The 40-Step Culture and Tourism Street is a 450-meter-long street that leads to a 40-step staircase of the Forty Steps Cultural Center. It embodies the joys and sorrows of refugees and displaced persons due to the Korean War, and the entire area was recently renovated to reflect life in Korea in the 1950s and 1960s. Twenty across a group of bronze statues, the street was rated the "best street" in the country by Busan Municipality in June 2004.
