The Golden Warrior Monument is located in the center of Republic Square in the city of Almaty. Also known as the Independence Monument, the statue has been a symbol of Kazakhstan's independence since 1996. It depicts a golden Saka and Bari ancient warrior at a height of 91 feet, showing the warrior heading to war with a bow in his hand.
