The Lenin Monument commemorates one of the most important men in the history of the Soviet state, Vladimir Ilyich Ulyanov, better known as Lenin. He served as head of the Russian Soviet government and then as President of the Soviet Union from 1922 to 1924. It shows Vladimir sitting deep in thought, and the monument is located in the old square within the public park.
