Tabuk is the capital of the Tabuk region in northwestern Saudi Arabia. It has a population of 659,797 and is located near the Jordanian-Saudi border. Tabuk is home to the largest air force base in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It also includes a group of different tourist attractions, most notably; Wadi Rum, which it shares with Jordan, and the ancient Tabuk Citadel, which was built during the rule of Sultan Suleiman the Magnificent in 1559 AD and is a main station for the pilgrims’ route from the Levant to Medina, and the Tayma Museum located in the Tayma Oasis, which is famous for its historical and natural importance. The historical stages that passed through the city and the different eras such as the prehistoric eras such as the Stone Age and the Bronze Age to the era of the emergence of Islam. Tabuk city also has an Aqua Park water village and contains water and recreational games, in addition to restaurants and recreation areas.
