Liberia - which is known as the bright rural city - is located in the north of Costa Rica, specifically 215 kilometers from the national capital, and it is an ideal, safe and cooler gateway than the rest of the Costa Rican cities. It has old neighborhoods, various museums, buildings with exquisite architecture, and picturesque natural areas. It also bears the title of the country's Sabanero (cowboy) culture flag.
