Levoca is located in northeastern Slovakia, and is one of the most important and lively towns in the country. This city, with its origins dating back to the thirteenth century AD, was subjected to two fires that destroyed its previously dominant Gothic architecture. But it was restored in the sixteenth century in the style of the Renaissance, and it has been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, because it embraces a number of monuments related to its past that are definitely worth a visit.
