Kanazawa is the capital of Ishikawa Prefecture located on the island of Honshu in central Japan. This city is known for its Edo period districts, art museums, and regional handicrafts. This city is characterized by natural manifestations and tourist attractions, the most important of which are; Kenroku-in Garden, built in the 17th century and featuring classic designs and landscapes of ponds and streams, the light-filled 21st Art Museum of Contemporary Art with many videos and modern media, and Nagamashi Samurai House, a picnic area where tourists can identify with the style of traditional Japanese homes. Japan also contains Kanazawa Castle, which was built in the fifties of the last century, and next to it is the newly built Kanazawa Castle.
