The city of Fnideq was called by this name, which is a diminutive of the word hotel, because of the presence of an old hotel in this place, where travelers and everyone passing through this area used to take it as a hostel, and from here the city gained its popularity throughout history as an inn. It is an ancient city dating back more than a thousand years. It is located in a distinguished strategic location near Jabal Musa bin Nusair opposite Gibraltar bin Ziyad. It enjoys a beautiful nature, as it includes many hills, mountains and lakes, in addition to a distinctive sandy beach. The city includes many archaeological sites that are still standing throughout the period of Spanish colonialism and to this day, which are evidence of the nobility and originality of the city.
