Bielefeld is a city in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The historic city center is located north of the ridge of the Teutoberg Forest, where the quiet and beautiful nature, in addition to the modern urban style, with aristocratic houses, shopping centers and medieval buildings at the same time. Bielefeld was founded in 1214 by Count Hermann IV of Ravensburg . The city includes many archaeological sites, historical castles and high-rise towers, such as the 37-meter-high Sparenberg and the Rafsenburg Mill, where special tours are available to introduce archaeological and historical areas, especially churches, castles and the old market. The city contains many modern and luxurious hotels in addition to theaters and concert halls, as well as the National Botanical Garden.
