Surrounding the corners of this wonderful city in the heart of Peru are three huge volcanoes of varying heights. It is the second largest city in the country. Unlike other cities in Peru, which are dominated by Spanish colonial architecture, the architecture in this particular city blends Spanish colonial architecture with the architectural style of the indigenous people, creating unique buildings that visitors will not find anywhere else in the world. Therefore, UNESCO placed the city on World Heritage List. This city was founded in the year 1450 AD and since then it has played an important role in the state. Therefore, visitors will find in it many museums that tell this history and show its events. It is not recommended to visit this city in the summer months, as the summer months in Peru are rainy, and it is preferable to visit it in the months between May to September.
