South African visa exemption for Saudis!

Holders of Saudi passports have the right to enter South Africa for tourism or short visit purposes without the need to obtain a prior visa. The passport is stamped upon arrival at one of the South African airports, allowing the Saudi citizen to reside for up to 90 days after his arrival in South Africa, whether to enjoy a tourist period or to visit relatives and friends.

Conditions for obtaining a visa for Saudis wishing to enter South Africa for a long stay or for purposes other than tourism

1. Visit the application page on the South African Embassy website and fill out the application form completely with a black ink pen and sign it. The form can be accessed via the link .

2. Submit two recent color passport-sized photographs.

3. The visa application must be submitted in person by adults (18 years and above). In the event of a minor under 18 years of age, both parents must be present and provide their identities and full birth certificates for the minor.

4. The passport must be valid and carry an exit and re-entry visa, must be valid for a period of not less than 30 days after the end of the intended visit, and must contain at least two blank pages for endorsement.

5. Submit a copy of the passport, Saudi ID, a copy of a valid residence permit, and a copy of the exit and return visa for non-Saudis.

6. Prove the existence of financial means through a detailed bank statement for the last 3 months in English and stamped by the bank.

7. For a visitor visa for business purposes, a letter of invitation from a South African company, and a similar letter from a Saudi local commitment, must be submitted.

8. Submit a clearance certificate from the Saudi police for anyone who has resided in the Kingdom for more than one year.

9. Provide medical reports from the doctor or hospital with an approved stamp if traveling for treatment.

10. Complete the temporary residence permit.

11. Submit a clearance certificate no more than one year old from the Saudi police if you have resided in the Kingdom for more than one year.

Advance visa application steps:

1. Make an appointment with the embassy:

- Determine a suitable date to visit the embassy to submit the advance visa application.

2. Visit the embassy with supporting documents:

- Visit the embassy on the scheduled date, and bring with you all relevant supporting documents required to submit the application.

3. Pay the application fee:

- Pay the approved application fees at the embassy to complete the application process.

4. Return to the embassy once the visa is granted:

-Once the visa is granted, return to the embassy to collect it and ensure all necessary procedures are completed.
