Tourist visa

A tourist visa in Russia requires issuance by the Consulate of the Russian Federation in the State of Kuwait. To obtain this type of visa, you must obtain a tourist invitation letter from an authorized travel company registered in the Federal Register of Tour Operators of Russia.

The letter must contain the following information: the name of the tour company and its unique federal registration number, in addition to personal details of the traveler for whom the letter will be issued. The letter must also include trip details, such as planned cities to visit in Russia, travel dates and number of entries required.

A tourist visa in Russia is valid for up to 30 days and can be for a single visit or a double visit.

Documents required to obtain a Russian visa for Kuwaitis include:

2. Pages of your passport containing personal data, in addition to the original passport.
   
   
3. One personal photo with a light background, preferably on matte paper.
   
   
4. Standard tourist confirmation from the host Russian travel agency or from the hotel registered with the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in addition to a tourist voucher from any tourism company located in Russia or in Kuwait. The confirmation must include the reference number of the Russian hgstv agency and its registration number.
   
   
5. Pay the required consular fees.

1. The applicant must be present in person when submitting the application. When entering Russia on a tourist visa, you may sometimes be asked to present a tourist confirmation at Russian border checkpoints. This estimate requires a hotel voucher to confirm accommodation and a return ticket with a specific date of departure from Russia. You may also be asked to provide proof of sufficient funds for the trip. Please note that this does not apply to cruises and tour groups.
   
   
2. The Russian tourist visa is issued with a validity of one month at most.

The visa fee is 27.4 Kuwaiti dinars for a single entry. If there is a need to expedite the processing of the application, the fees may increase to 54.8 Kuwaiti dinars.

Visitor visa

To obtain a visitor visa, the following documents must be submitted to the Consular Section:

1. A completed visa application form (one per individual).
   
   
2. Copies of the pages of the passport containing the personal data of the passport holder, and the original passport must also be brought.
   
   
3. One personal photo of the passport holder with a light background, preferably on matte paper.
   
   
4. Original permission from the local Russian Passport and Visa Service (PVS), only originals are accepted. Your relatives or friends in Russia must obtain this permission on your behalf and mail it to your address in Kuwait. This permission can be obtained from the local Russian Passport and Visa Administration (PVS) or its regional representations.
   
   
5. A visitor visa is usually valid for one year and the period of stay must not exceed 90 days.

Visa for work, study, religious and cultural purposes

To obtain a visa for work, study, religious or cultural purposes, the following documents must be submitted to the Consular Section with the attached documents:

1. A completed visa application form (one per individual).
   
   
2. Copies of the passport pages containing the personal data of the passport holder.
   
   
3. One personal photo of the applicant with a light background, preferably on matte paper.
   
   
4. A letter of invitation from the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, its regional representations, the Federal Migration Service of Russia, its local offices, or any other authorized Russian agency. The letter must contain the following information: official seal, legal address of the agency, document registration number, date of registration, signature, name of official authorized to invite foreigners to Russia, itinerary, dates of stay, and names of invited persons.
   
   
5. A letter covering the trip costs from the company where the applicant works or the applicant himself. This letter must include information about the traveler, destinations, conditions of visit, and purpose.
   
   
6. Payment of consular fees.

Russia visa price for Kuwaitis

The visa fee is 27,400 Kuwaiti dinars for a single entry. If there is a need to expedite the processing of the application, the fees may increase to 54,800 Kuwaiti dinars.

Transit visas

To obtain a transit visa, the following documents must be submitted to the consular section of the embassy:

1. A completed visa application form (one per individual) is available from the Consular Section.
   
   
2. Copies of the passport pages containing the personal data of the passport holder and the original passport.
   
   
3. Personal presence of the applicant.
   
   
4. One personal photo of the applicant with a light background, preferably on matte paper.
   
   
5. A copy of the passport page containing the visa of the country you are going to and/or the return visa.
   
   
6. A copy of the travel tickets for the trip.
   
   
7. Payment of consular fees.

The Russian transit visa is valid for only 72 hours.
