Does a Saudi citizen need an Egypt visa?
Of course, a Saudi citizen needs a visa to enter Egypt, and this visa is available in two main types:
1. Regular visa: This visa requires traditional procedures that include going to the Egyptian embassy in Saudi Arabia or the accredited Egyptian consulate, submitting the required documents and paying the prescribed fees. After that, the application is submitted for official approval from the Egyptian authorities.
2. Electronic visa: This represents an innovative alternative option that allows Saudis to obtain a visa online, without the need to visit an embassy or consulate. The application is submitted and the necessary documents are submitted via a dedicated electronic platform, and approval is usually completed within a short period of time.
These new measures provide Saudi citizens with ease and ease of access to Egypt, and enhance the opportunities to enjoy a distinctive tourist experience in this country, which is distinguished by its ancient history and the beauty of its charming nature.
How to obtain an Egypt e-Visa for Saudis:
1. Create: Visit the Egyptian e-Visa portal and create a new account .
2. Activation: Use the link sent to your email to confirm your account.
3. Fill out the application: Start filling out the electronic application form.
4. Select type: Select the type of visa required (single or multiple entry).
5. Payment: Use your Visa, MasterCard or debit cards to pay the visa fee.
6. Get approval: After payment, wait for your application to be approved via email.
7. Printing: Once approved, download and print the e-Visa from your account on the website.
8. Arrival: Present the printed visa to the immigration officer at the port of entry.
Travelers should be aware that Egyptian port authorities may deny entry to e-visa holders without providing an explanation. Therefore, travelers are advised to check the terms and conditions before travelling.
Visa types:
Tourist visa: Issued for tourist visits and allows single or multiple entries.
Work or residence visa: Issued for the purposes of work or long-term stay in Egypt and requires traditional procedures.
Tourist visa fees:
One-time visa: 25 USD.
Multiple visa: 60 USD.
Visa Facilities:
For ages: Egypt allows obtaining an electronic visa for age groups under 16 years and over 60 years.
How Saudi citizens enter Egypt upon arrival:
1. Visa-free: Saudi citizens can arrive in Egypt without the need for a prior visa.
2. Visit the immigration counter: After arrival, Saudi citizens must go to the Egyptian immigration counter to complete entry procedures.
3. Show documents: Travelers must show travel documents such as the original passport or travel document issued by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
4. Obtaining the stamp: After the necessary procedures at the immigration counter, the Saudi passport is stamped, allowing the traveler to enter Egypt and stay for the specified stamp period.
Documents required to obtain a tourist visa:
Passport or Travel Document: You must have a valid passport with a validity of at least 6 months on the date of travel, and at least two pages must be free of any marks.
Print the electronic visa.
Travel Plan: A travel plan to and from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia must be submitted in the applicant’s name.
Letter of support: such as a letter from the company or a letter of invitation for business or family visits.
Hotel reservations/trip details: If you intend to travel as a tourist, you must provide hotel reservations or details about proposed places of visit.
Proof of financial availability: Proof of sufficient financial resources for residence and departure from Egypt must be provided.
Active Email Address: An active email address must be provided to receive visa approval.
Valid Payment Card: You must have a valid payment card (debit or credit) to pay the e-Visa fee online.
For children: Parents can apply for their children from the parent’s online account.
Egypt e-visa and its validity:
1. One-time visa:
It is intended for one trip and is valid for 30 days.
Must be used within 90 days of issue date.
2. Multiple entry visa:
Allows entry into Egypt multiple times within a period of 180 days.
The maximum length of stay is limited to 30 days.
3. 5-year multiple entry visa:
Entry to Egypt is granted several times during a 5-year period.
One visit is limited to 90 days, and is renewable.
Visa fee: 700 USD.
The start of activation of this type will be announced at a later time.
How to obtain an e-visa for Egypt from Saudi Arabia:
1. Full name as written in the passport.
2. Date of birth.
3. Place of birth.
4. Contact details such as residential address, email address, and phone number.
5. Country of citizenship and country of passport.
6. Passport number and dates of issuance and expiry.
7. Travel dates to Egypt and address in Egypt.
- Pay the processing fee: After filling out the form, pay the e-Visa processing fee online.
- Submit the application: Submit the application after paying the fees, and wait for confirmation and approval of the application.
This process is quick and simple and only takes a few minutes to complete.
