Best time to visit Disneyland Paris

This guide will give you some useful tips to achieve an amazing travel experience at Disneyland Paris . You'll learn how to take full advantage of your time at the park, how to skip the long lines and enjoy as much of the features and offers available as possible.

What is the best time to visit Disneyland Paris?

Although Disneyland Paris can be visited at any time of the year and most attractions are available year-round, there are some periods that some consider best to visit. It is usually advisable to avoid peak periods such as summer, Christmas and Easter, when there are large crowds and long queues at the entrances. Also, temperatures in July and August can be very high and make the visit uncomfortable.

Accordingly, the best time to visit Disneyland Paris is during calm and responsive periods. Mid-January to mid-March and mid-April to mid-May can be considered the best periods , as the weather is pleasant and the atmosphere is more comfortable. In addition, it is preferable to visit the park during the week at any time of the year to avoid the crowds that occur during weekends.

Rush hour at Disneyland Paris

  • From Monday to Friday, Disneyland Paris is less crowded.

  • Thus, the waiting time is 0-15 minutes for popular attractions and 0-5 minutes for other attractions.

  • On Saturday, the park can get crowded, and visitors may have to wait 45-90 minutes for some Disneyland Paris rides.

  • On Saturdays, non-popular attractions also have a wait time of 15-30 minutes.

However, you should take into account that visiting preferences may differ between people, and some may prefer crowding and an enthusiastic atmosphere during peak periods. Therefore, it is recommended that you plan your visit according to your convenience and personal preferences.

How many days do you need to spend at Disneyland Paris?

Of course, this depends on the duration of your vacation in Paris.

Most visitors typically spend two days at Disneyland Park and one day at Walt Disney Studios Park.

If you only have one day, we suggest you skip Walt Disney Studios Park and visit Disneyland Park. This park is the main and largest and offers a wide range of rides and adventures that you will enjoy.

However, if you have more time, spending a couple of days at both Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park will give you a more comprehensive and diverse experience. You'll be able to explore all the features and attractions in each park and enjoy a wider range of events and shows.

It generally depends on your available time and personal interests. Plan your trip schedule carefully and make sure you allocate enough time to enjoy the various parks and attractions.

Best time to visit shows

A parade called 'Stars on Parade' kicks off at 5.30pm every day and is updated every week.

When park hours are shorter, the parade occurs at 5 p.m.

It starts in Fantasyland near Small world and ends in Town Square at 6pm.

However, if you want to see a more lavish parade, you can visit Disneyland during special days such as Christmas and New Year.

Avoid the queue at the ticket counter

No one wants to spend their time waiting in long lines, especially at a place like Disneyland Paris which is a fun entertainment destination.

You can avoid waiting in box office lines by purchasing tickets in advance online through this link .

In addition, tickets purchased online are often cheaper than those available at Disneyland Paris .

The logic is simple - when you buy a ticket online, you do not pay an additional fee at the ticket window.

If you still prefer to buy your ticket at Disneyland Paris instead and ignore the huge benefits of purchasing your ticket online (save time and money!), make sure you arrive before 10am.

As many people start waiting after 10am, the line continues to grow until it reaches its peak between 11am and 11:30am.

How to get to Disneyland?

To get to Disneyland, which is 30 kilometers from Paris , you have good train and rail connections from the city's two airports and from the center.

If you are staying in Paris , you can take the RER-A (red line) train that leaves you next to the park entrance (Marne la Vallée stop) in about 35 minutes for €8.40 for adults, €4.20 for children under 10 and free for children under 4. At this stop, you can take a free bus that will take you to your hotel.

These trains depart from 5:20 to 30:30 every 10 minutes and make several stops in the center such as: Charles de Gaulle-Etoile (subway 1, 2 and 6), Uber (subway 3, 7, 8 and 9) and Chatelet Les Halles (Metro 1, 4, 7, 11 and 14).
