Hamachish Hajadol or the Great Crater of the Volcano is an amazing phenomenon in the Negev that was formed as a result of a natural geological erosion process, and it is a unique phenomenon, of which there are only 7 in the world, and 5 of them in the occupied Palestinian territories. This magnificent crater is 10 km long and more than 5 km wide. This crater is considered the second largest crater of this type in the world. The landmark can be reached by car or by going on one of the hiking trails organized by many companies in the Negev.
