It is a medium-sized lake with an area of 7.69 square kilometres, located in the province of Voss, specifically in the town of Vossvavingan. Tens of thousands of locals and tourists visit this lake each year, as it is suitable for winter and summer activities, where water slides, kayaking and swimming can be done, and in winter it is possible to ski on the hard ice that forms on the lake.
