The Bloomingdale Trail was built on a former railroad 17 feet high over four of the city's neighborhoods, and is about three miles long, running east to west on the northwest side of Chicago. It is the longest green path of a former railway in the United States, and is an ideal destination for walking with family or friends, and there are many cafes, restaurants and shopping centers around it.
