Information about Qasr Shabeeb
Shabib Palace is located on the western side of the city of Zarqa. It was built in the ancient Roman era in 46 BC. It was called the old Zarqa Hall or the Zarqa Fort. This place is attributed to Prince Shabib al-Mahdawi al-Jedama. The current palace was built on the ruins of a Roman military fortress. This palace includes a fortress with a side length of about 13.5 meters, a well located at the entrance, and an inscription above the arch surrounding the door written in ancient Latin, indicating the death of the ruler and asking for mercy for him. It is a suitable place to visit with family or friends and enjoy taking great souvenir photos.
