The Botanical Garden of the University of Palermo is considered one of the most important Italian academic institutions. It is considered a huge open-air museum, and many plant species grow in the garden, which differ in terms of origin and plant species, including tropical and semi-tropical. The garden consists of two main sections, the first section includes a group of tall trees and colorful flowers. The other section is a large greenhouse in which about 2731 species of plants grow. Regarding the history of the park, it was created in 1806 by Giovanni de Brignole.
