Lake Lancauer is located in the south of the Lankou region and west of the city of Schwerin in the German state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. It is a large lake that extends over a wide area of ​​about 0.54 square kilometres, with a length of 1.56 kilometers and a width of 900 meters in the north and about 100 meters in the south, with an average depth of 5.2 meters. The lake is surrounded by many beautiful natural features, and it is also home to many species of wild birds. Today, the lake is classified as a fully equipped recreational area for tourism in the city of Scheffen, and is suitable for practicing various water activities such as swimming and kayaking.
