Built in the 11th century by the lords of Voss on a rocky outcrop suitable for defense and observation, Hyeres Castle was partially destroyed by order of Henry IV in 1596 and dismantled during the reign of Louis XIII in 1620. The thirteenth century, and visiting its ruins is a suitable option for a very pleasant outing, as it offers wonderful views of the Gulf of Hyeres and the hinterland.
