The museum and the Greek Orthodox Church can be found in the center of Miskolc. The church was built between 1785 and 1806 in the Rococo style. It is a prominent historical monument in the city, and includes a large mural 16 meters high and includes 88 images from the life of Jesus. It is engraved in the Baroque style in the workshop of Miklós Jankovits, and was painted by Anton Kuchelmeister of Vienna. As for the museum, it houses the richest Orthodox liturgical collection in Hungary, and its permanent exhibition displays the history and art of the Church and Orthodox schools.
